This one-day workshop is focused on teaching hypnosis through didactics, demonstration, and experiential work to clinicians interested in using hypnosis for the management of acute and chronic pain as well as suffering in general. Attendees will learn to distinguish acute from chronic pain and to provide rapid interventions for acute pain as well as use of a biopsychosocial model in assessment and treatment of chronic pain.
Models of hypnosis demonstrated will include the use of mindfulness and meditation to address suffering.
This training will be grounded in the latest research on hypnosis and human consciousness. Human diversity will be emphasized.
